Well-known journalist Mazher Arshad uploaded a clip of a young kid who supports Lahore Qalandars with all his heart. In the video, the kid can be seen weeping his voice out following his team’s heart-wrenching loss against Islamabad on Sunday. The little bloke seems way too hurt by his team’s showing in PSL 5 so far.

Supporting Lahore Qalandars in the PSL is surely one of the hardest things to do in this part of the world. The franchise had finished bottom-most in each of the 4 completed PSL editions so far and it seems as if the trend will continue this year too, with Lahore having already lost 2 out of 2.
So much money and resources have been injected into this team, yet the results still aren’t there. What happened to Lahore against Islamabad has been happening to them since 4 years now.

They have come close so many times, yet most of those times they’ve ended up costing themselves. Complacency? Lack of professionalism? Nerves? Whatever it is, it is not easy to support this team and keeping in mind the passion of cricket that lies in this country, Qalandars are falling way behind the standards that they should be showing out there.

It is hard to fathom how this Lahore team manages to fall short, time and time again despite having such a well-balanced squad. We are talking about a team filled with global talents like Fakhar Zaman, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Salman Butt, Chris Lynn, Mohammad Hafeez and Haris Rauf. Against Islamabad, they seemed to have sorted out their batting issues, scoring scored 182/6. Mohammad Hafeez got 98 in that innings, which was an absolute blinder.
However, the Lahore bowlers, Samit Patel and Shinwari in particular, blew it all away. In the end, United’s 11th man, Muhammad Musa made 17* and led his team glory in an epic finish, breaking millions of Lahore hearts around the world.
