Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson expressed immense delight after meeting the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan in Islamabad.

Watson, the former 2-time World Cup winner with Australia, felt extremely happy and honored to meet a legend as big PM Imran Khan, who was one of his childhood heroes.
“This was incredibly special for me to meet and chat with one of my cricketing hero’s, the Great All-Rounder, Imran Khan.” Watson tweeted.


Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday conducted a meeting with fellow cricketing greats Sir Vivian Richards, Greg Chappell and Shane Watson at his official residence in Islamabad.



In the historic meeting, Richards recalled his cricketing battles with PM Imran. The West Indian legend specifically mentioned that Pakistan’s sports industry is flourishing under Imran Khan’s leadership.
“When Imran Khan was the captain, the matches between Pakistan and West Indies were always exciting. It is pleasing to see the revival of the sport in the country.” Richards said.
PM Imran said that the services of “foreign cricketers’ for the revival of international cricket in Pakistan will never be forgotten.

It is to the known that Watson and Richards are a part of the Quetta Gladiators team for the ongoing 5th edition of the PSL. On the other hand, for Greg Chappell, it was his first visit to the country since 2006. The former Australia International has visited Pakistan to witness the ongoing PSL tournament
