PM Imran to chair NCC meeting tomorrow, decision on easing lockdown likely

ISLAMABAD: a gathering of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) are going to be held in Islamabad on Thursday to require a final judgment on easing lockdown restrictions within the country,

Prime Minister Imran Khan will chair a gathering of the National Coordination Committee (NCC).

The meeting would be attended by chief ministers of all the provinces where a consensus would be developed on easing coronavirus lockdown country-wide.

The federal cabinet has already decided to further ease lockdown restrictions during Tuesday’s meeting.

Earlier on May 4, Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms Asad Umar said the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Coronavirus would decide about the longer term course of lockdown after analysis and observations to be presented by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).

“More decisions are likely to be made regarding lockdown after May 9. Our resources to run the healthcare system are insufficient while a serious reduction is additionally recorded within the education budget. On the opposite hand, the percentage is increasing day by day, giving negative impacts on the economy .

Umar said that the economic experts have estimated for 18 million people to become jobless within the current scenario amid coronavirus crisis. The percentage is directly linked with the duration of lockdown, he added.

“In NCOC, we make decisions in sight of the impacts on human life but not only that specialize in healthcare arrangements.”NC

اسلام آباد: قومی رابطہ کمیٹی (این سی سی) کا اجتماع جمعرات کے روز اسلام آباد میں ہو رہا ہے تاکہ ملک میں لاک ڈاون پابندیوں کو کم کرنے سے متعلق حتمی فیصلے کی ضرورت ہو ،

 وزیر اعظم عمران خان قومی رابطہ کمیٹی (این سی سی) کے ایک اجتماع کی صدارت کریں گے۔

 اس اجلاس میں تمام صوبوں کے وزرائے اعلیٰ شرکت کریں گے جہاں کورونا وائرس لاک ڈاون کو آسان بنانے پر اتفاق رائے پیدا کیا جائے گا۔

 وفاقی کابینہ نے پہلے ہی منگل کے اجلاس کے دوران لاک ڈاؤن پابندیوں میں مزید نرمی لانے کا فیصلہ کیا ہے۔

 اس سے قبل 4 مئی کو ، وزیر منصوبہ بندی ، ترقیات اور اصلاحات اسد عمر نے کہا تھا کہ کورونا وائرس سے متعلق قومی رابطہ کمیٹی (این سی سی) تجارتی تجزیہ اور مشاہدات کے بعد لاک ڈاؤن کے طویل مدتی کورس کے بارے میں فیصلہ کرے گی جو نیشنل کمانڈ اینڈ آپریشن سنٹر (این سی او سی) کے ذریعہ پیش کیا جائے گا۔  .

 9 مئی کے بعد لاک ڈاؤن کے حوالے سے مزید فیصلے کیے جانے کا امکان ہے ۔ہیلتھ کیئر سسٹم کو چلانے کے لئے ہمارے وسائل ناکافی ہیں جبکہ اضافی طور پر تعلیمی بجٹ میں بھی شدید کمی ریکارڈ کی جارہی ہے۔  اس کے برعکس ، فیصد روز بروز بڑھتی جارہی ہے ، جس سے معیشت پر منفی اثرات پڑ رہے ہیں۔

 عمر نے کہا کہ اقتصادی ماہرین نے کرونا وائرس کے بحران کے دوران موجودہ صورتحال میں 18 ملین افراد کے بے روزگار ہونے کا تخمینہ لگایا ہے۔  انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس فیصد کو لاک ڈاؤن کے دورانیے کے ساتھ براہ راست منسلک کیا گیا ہے۔
