Karachi-Kings
Karachi Kings’s loss to Lahore Qalandars sent the team and fans alike into a state of uncertainty in terms of the PSL points table. A win against their arch-rivals would have made things a little easier for the Kings keeping in mind they would have been on par with Peshawar Zalmi at 2nd or 3rd in the table.

After having played 6 games so far, with 1 match getting washed out due to rain, Karachi Kings are lagging behind the pecking order at 5th in the table. However, they do have a game or two in hand compared to their top 4 rivals, which means good performances over the next 3 outings could guarantee qualification for the knockout phase. After beating Karachi, Lahore went on to win beat former Champions Peshawar Zalmi which means they comfortably sit 3rd now.

Different Qualification scenarios for Karachi Kings

Win 3/3 games

If Karachi can win all of their remaining group stage games, they will surley make the play-offs. In doing so, Imad Wasim’s men might finish 1st or 2nd in table place, depending on current table-toppers Multan Sultans’ run of form in their upcoming matches.

Win 2/3 games

Karachi’s remaining games are against arch rivals Lahore, former winners Islamabad, and defending champions Quetta. The best part about all those games from a Karachi perspective is that they will be played at the National Stadium.
If they win 2 out of their remaining 3 games, the men in blue will have 11 points, meaning that they will still comfortably make top 4.

Win 1/3 matches

If the Kings manage to win only one game out of 3, then net run rate will likely play a big role. If they win against Islamabad United, they will knock out Shadab Khan’s team.
