Imran-Tahir-Pakistan
South African spin veteran Imran Tahir has said that he has never felt ‘unsafe’ in Pakistan.

Pakistan’s security conditions have been dampened over the last decade or so ever since the horror 2009 attacks on the Sri Lankan cricket team. However, the last few years have seen a slow and gradual return of International cricket in the country. The ongoing 5th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) is being hosted in Pakistan in its entirity.
Tahir, who is representing Multan Sultans has lent out his full support to Pakistan, amid concerns regarding the safety of overseas players in the country.
The Lahore-born Protean in a recent interview spoke about his experience of playing in Pakistan’s domestic T20 league, whilst also discussing the quality of cricket in PSL. The 40-year-old further spoke about his ‘source of happiness’ in a recent catchup with the media.
“I am very happy to be here [in Pakistan], because my family has not had many opportunities to see me perform live. This is my second time I am here which is a source of happiness for me and my family. I came here with the world XI previously.” said Tahir
“Your own brand will always have more value than anything else. Shifting cricket from Dubai to Pakistan is a big step for the country.
All players participating in the PSL believe that it is one of the toughest leagues in the world because of the high quality of cricket being played. You have to be at the top of your game. Cricket fever has gripped the country and it is a great experience,” he added
