The number of cases worldwide is increasing at a scary pace, which has prompted nations all around the globe to either postpone or cancel public gatherings and events.

Pakistan has had a total almost 500 cases with 3 reported fatalities. It is the 4th highest number of cases outside of Europe. With just 3 games to go, the knockout stages of the Pakistan Super League 2020 were called off on the day they were supposed to happen on March 17.

Afridi shares a public service message via PCB

Arguably the most popular Pakistani cricketer in history, Shahid Afridi has just shared a coronavirus awareness message via PCB’s official Twitter account. Boom Boom urged the citizens of Pakistan join hands during this tough time and also shared some tips and guidelines to stay safe amidst the COVID-19 outbreak.
Afridi emphasized that health is wealth and people should wash their hands regularly. According to the 40-year-old, people should wash their hands even after someone around them sneezes or coughes.
“Sehet hai to sab kuch hai. coronavirus ko shikast dene ke liye humhe aaj kuch zaruri cheezo pe amal karna padega. cheenkte waqt, nazle ke waqt, khaansi ke waqt, khaane ke baad apne haatho ko acche se dhona. alocholic sanitizer use karna. yeh bahut improtant hai. khaansi aur cheekne ke samay tissue paper ka use karein. mein mehfuz pakistan mehfuz,” Afridi said in the video.
